What the acupuncture research says:
- In 2019, a study analyzed the outcomes of patients receiving IVF with acupuncture (46 cases) to patients receiving IVF without acupuncture (42 cases). They found the acupuncture group had a 61% pregnancy rate, as opposed to a 33% pregnancy rate in the non-acupuncture group. The acupuncture group also had a 72% live birth rate, as opposed to a 31% live birth rate in the non-acupuncture group.
- Acupuncture reduces endometriosis-related pain and improves peripheral blood CA-125 levels in patients with endometriosis
- Acupuncture improves ovulation induction in patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
